Cornish Seaside Home

Portwrinkle,  South-east Cornwall,

Perched on a sloping coastal site in Portwrinkle, this contemporary new-build home is designed to maximise sea views while responding to the natural landscape. A stone lower ground floor anchors the building into the hillside, with a lighter upper volume of timber cladding and render beneath simple pitched roofs. A sweeping terrace extends from the main living spaces, strengthening the connection between the interior and the coastal setting. The project was undertaken as part of Steve Huckstep Architects
